Before one of the last bigger updates I could edit the via-Information, but now I can't find a way to do that. Sometimes the referrer is not really the correct via-Link, and I also do not always "re-share" links of contacts directly over the "share" link on Mento, so some information is lost by that because I cannot edit the via field.
This also affects your ranking system, because the user then gets no points for this "re-shared" link, although he should get some.
I used to use from:*-tags (as counterpart to for:*-tags) on del.icio.us to mark from whom I got some link - but as Mento has a via field I shouldn't only use an own strange system for doing that.
Are You working on this, or why did you remove the option to edit the via information? Or did you only move it somewhere, where I don't find it?
Integrate with more services. Gmail, Google Reader comes to mind. ( Automagically add my shared items from my Google Reader Shared Items feed. ) Get a widget I can add to my iGoogle home page. Share my calendar, Documents, groups.
I can see when someone from my network clicks on my links but I cannot see when someone else clicks on them. Before the update it was possible to see who clicked. Did that change or can I still see that information somewhere else?
I'm used to use del.icio.us. There I built a button/bookmarklet which uses the currently selected text on a page as the "comment" text in the del.icio.us form.
Is it possible to prefill the comment field of the mento post form with the selected text?
I have my Mento account set up to export all new links to del.icio.us, Tumblr, and Friendfeed. (Overkill? Maybe. But that's how I roll.) It appears that none of the posts I made to Mento yesterday were cross-posted to any of those destinations. The last post to del.icio.us is from this past Friday; the last posts to Tumblr and Friendfeed are both this past Sunday (day-before-yesterday). The relevant links are:
