How can I send my comments to Mento AND Twitter?
I want to decide on content to share, comment on it, and then send that content to Mento and Twitter. At the moment I can either
- SEND the link and put my comment in Twitter or...
- SAVE the link and put my comment in Mento. I can post in both places but I can't comment in both places at once!
The Mento box is a bit confusing at the moment and the distinction between sending and saving isn't very clear. Otherwise its looking good, keep up the good work!
The more people who like this idea, the more it gets noticed.
The company is working on this idea.

Inappropriate? If you send a link to Twitter, or anywhere else, for that matter, it will also be saved by default (unless you uncheck a box somewhere).
I believe the functionality is already as you would like, just the UI a bit confusing. -
Inappropriate? Thanks Stanislav. I'm not near my laptop at the moment but I was under the impression that if you 'Send' a link to Twitter (the only way) then the comment you send appears in Twitter only, not in Mento, even if you choose to save the content in Mento as well.
I may be mistaken, I'll delete this post later if so!
I’m probably being awkward

Inappropriate? Thanks for jumping in and being the first to reply, Stanislav!
The UI needs a clarity overhaul in this respect for sure. Stanislav was spot-on: Right now, when you send a link to "Twitter" and the link currently does *not* have any comment associated on Mento, your message will be saved as the public comment for the link.
Note that when sending a link to a friend and adding a message, this behavior does not apply -- this prevents "private" messages from accidentally appearing as public comments.
I hope this makes more sense than the interface -- for now. Thanks for your patience!
