Inappropriate?How true -- one of the reasons that we didn't think of it until now is that the homepage already features the newest daily links from your inbox on top of all other links (they're marked with "Sent to You"). In that sense, you could go to the homepage once a day and see all new links in one pass.
Should we add a "new" indicator to the Inbox link your homepage nonetheless? I hesitate to add an "unread" count since that could feel soon intimidating and might not be accurate.

Inappropriate?I currently don't spend a lot of time on the homepage. The layout and information just isn't quite right. It doesn't update with my network's latest links and I can't see links I've posted.
I would like to see some sort of alert on the inbox so that I know to check it.

Inappropriate?Ok, I understand what you mean and will think about a solution for the short term. Redesigning the entire homepage needs to happen eventually as well but it's not an easy task. If you want to share ideas on what you'd like to see (and how you'd like to see it) on such an improved homepage, please do!
