How does MetaPlace integrate with my existing tool chain?
I'm a stickler for my tool chain. I've built up a collection of tools that I rely upon to produce code: Git, TextMate, Rake, hundreds of snippets and commands. It's all very personalized.
Will I be able to incorporate these tools into the MetaPlace experience? Will I be able to choose my own editor? Will I be able to interact with MetaPlace hosted code through the command line?
I ask mostly because tinkering with scripting in SecondLife was one of the most frustrating experiences for someone who is very particular about dev experience. Copy and pasting code into the script editor just doesn't cut it. I'm not sure if they've improved.
From what little information I can find on MetaPlace, it would seem logical that you wouldn't trap a dev into a sub-standard editor. Please tell me I'm right.
