Smarty Dish dishwasher soap tablets do not clean well.
It cleans the dishes pretty well. But it does nothing to remove food smells from the dishes. If you have dishes with a particularly strong scent (like onions), it not only does not remove the smell from the dish, the scent will just spread to every other dish in the washer. I'm very disappointed, because I love Method and I have been searching for an eco-friendly dishwasher solution for a long time.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the feedback EJ. It actually sparked quite the conversation over here at method and I think we've figured out the issues.
Smarty dish is designed to work in almost every possible environment. There are a couple of things we like to do here to give it a boost like: scraping the dishes beforehand or cleaning the filter at the bottom of the machine to get any stuck food out.
Also, stinky food items have fragrant oils and the ingredients in SD are designed to battle them, as long as the wash isn't stone cold. Here at method we give the cubes a boost by washing our dishes in warm water.
