better vista windows mail
Although Vista Business suits me fine the Windows Mail feature is wasting a great deal of my time - compared with OE6 used with XP.
Clicking on the down arrow in "From:" gives me a drop down of 4 to select from.
Clicking on "To:", "Cc:", or "Bcc:" in Windows Mail produces a single total list of all contacts which takes ages to read and select each time.
The 'Group' system is no use to me as I never want to send to the whole group.
Clicking on "To:", "Cc:", or "Bcc:" in XP used to produce a drop down list of Folders. Each Folder would contain selected contacts. I could then select some or all for a particular mailing without altering the basic list.
Each time therefore the read and select process would take a fraction of the time compared with the Windows Mail procedure.
Over a couple of years I have contacted all the experts I can find but they all say it is a feature of Vista which cannot be changed. Other users on the web make similar comments of frustration with Windows Mail.
I have also attempted to contact Microsoft via website, forums, and support addresses, but have not had a single reply.
All I want to know is "are they aware that an alternative to WM would be welcomed - even if it cost money".
I expect you will be unable to help either, but if you could give me a child's guide on how to get the question into the right slot at Microsoft it would be of great help.

Inappropriate? There are many alternatives to Windows Mail. You can use outlook, or many other clients, Mozilla Thunderbird is also good. They can be set as the default mail program and they will import all your settings and contacts.
