Can't install drivers manually

Can't manually install a driver; went through device manager-> update driver -> browse my computer -> let me pick -> uncheck compatible drivers. BUT IT WONT LET ME CHOOSE THE FILE! I know where it is and that I need it but I can't choose it. How can I install it? Also the window isn't resizable. bad.
