From 32-bit to 64-bit, installer won't open from desktop.
I'm running 32-bit Windows Vista HP, and I purchased 64-bit Windows 7 HP because my laptop supports 64-bit versions. But when I downloaded the program, I try running it and a box opens saying "Program too big to fit in memory."
Why's that? How do I install Windows 7, then?

Inappropriate?Hi,
That sounds like a corrupt download.
Might be worth downloading it again.
Where did you download it from, MSDN?
Cheers

Inappropriate?I bought it from the same site my brother bought it, www.win741.com. I originally purchased the 32-bit version, but I called Windows customer service, they connected the line to Digital River, and they sent me the 64-bit version download manager.
I read something on th Windows Frequently asked questions about having to copy the document to a USB drive or a CD so I could install it from there, but I tried it and the same message pops up. Guess I'll have to go back to that link so I can re-read the instructions.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?Hi Jean-Karlo,
I assume they sent a .ISO file correct? Those types of files are a snapshot of the DVD-ROM and meant to be burned to a DVD before you can use them to install Windows. There are many ISO burning utilities availble on the internet for free.
Another item to note, upgrading from 32-bit Windows to 64-bit is not supported. What you will need to do is run the installer and preform a clean install. When you do this install, your documents will need to be backed up as they will not be saved. More information and instructions can be found at this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...
