How do you escape a character in Excel?
I need to enter a number that starts with a zero and Excel isn't liking this. I know there's a way to escape a character and I know I've known how to do this in the past but I'm forgetting now.

Inappropriate?Try typing a ' before the number - it will tell Excel to treat it as text but you can still sort on it... won't work if you need to do a calculation on it though.
