Internet Explorer 7 keeps crashing

The crashing started three days ago, but first it was just hanging up for around 10 to 30 seconds. I got Internet Explorer 7 in one of the auto up dates.So I went to add/ remove programs and removed it. then i got another auto update with Internet Explorer 7 so i let it install it, but it crashes as soon as i open it. is there anyway to totally remove it then get a fresh copy and install it my self. besides getting it from the auto update?
