Is there a REST API for Microsoft Tag?
I am very interested in creating a number of applications using Microsoft Tag, but want to use REST APIs ...and I can't seem to find the docs for these. Do they exist?
I believe that you could really gain better traction if you had these ... we have been experimenting with the Google Chart API to create QR Codes ... very slick and simple to use. I fully understand that your solution is a more rich and complex solution ... but simple REST APIs would be great!
This is awesome work ... I look forward to using it!

Inappropriate? The Microsoft Tag API released is not based on the REST protocol. We constantly try to improve the product, the developer experience and the user experience.
Although, we do not have plans for it in the roadmap, we are definitely looking to implement the most requested features. -
Inappropriate?Whoa! Tag Lives! I'm glad to hear back from you guys ...
So give me a PHP lib! Or publish the SOAP protocol if that is what you are using. Just give me a want to implement a service from a non-Microsoft platform. I have nothing against MS platforms, but want to see you guys become more open with service platforms like this one ...
Please? :-)
I’m unsure

Inappropriate?http://mstagrestlib.codeplex.com/ Currently only implements creating URI and FreeText tags, but full Tag API support is planned. It uses a third party proxy service that exposes the Tag API through REST.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? That is awesome! BUT ... what the heck is Microsoft doing? Why don't they have this out yet? What is taking so long for them to support developers who want to work with their stuff?
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Well actually I don't expect anything more on their current API support. Microsoft is all about giving you (just enough) tools to go out and make yourself... I admit that in some cases they should be more proactive in stead of waiting for others to do what should have been done by themselves but hey they are also a company and I guess their resources and budget aren't all that unlimited as most people seem to think. So in my honest opinion use what is availablem create what you need and pray they may some day support it natively...
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? This is a third-party REST interface to the Microsoft TAG API.
