Budget shows up in CCD, missing things on CCIphone.
Hello,
I have added Cha-Ching for Desktop and for the iphone. I made a budget on the desktop and sync'd it to my iphone. Only what I have spent comes through on the iphone, the budgeted amount does not come through and it only shows the categories that I have spent money on, the other ones do not show up. I couldn't find any settings that I may have missed. There are no duplicate budgets and I just started this in November.

Inappropriate? There are currently two types of budgeting in Cha-Ching for Mac. Tag based budgets (these don't sync to iPhone) and Category based budgets (these do get synced to iPhone).
Can you let me know a little bit more about the issue you are seeing so that I can assist you further? Thanks for posting I am glad to help!

I’m happy

Inappropriate?Thanks Juan for your response.
I am using the category based budget on both my desktop and iPhone. When I look at the desktop all of the categories are there including ones that I created. When I look at the iPhone budget. There are some that are missing, and the ones that I created only show up once I have spent money in the category. It would be nice to know how much is in a category when I am out and about before I spend money.
Does this make sense. I would be happy to talk to you by phone if needed.
Jumpin Joe Dimaggio.
I’m Hoping this can get fixed.

Inappropriate?Hi Juan,
So following up from my response above. Some categories aren't showing up on my iphone that are on the desktop and then once money is spent in that category then they show up. This is frustrating as my wife doesn't know how much is in a budget and has to spend money to see what is in it. Also just as if not more frustrating is that for some categories, there is a budget amount on the desktop that is not showing up on the iphone. I.E. a category I created called Joe's Allowance doesn't show up on the phone until money is spent and then when money is spent it shows up but without a budget amount. This is very frustrating, and I am about to revert back to quicken. Love the idea of Cha-Ching, but it is just not working as promised. I understand it is a beta, but I spent $2.99 twice for the app on my phone and my wifes and it isn't working correctly. Would love to see how to correct this as if it worked as it said, it would be the best program around.
I’m sad and frustrated

Inappropriate? So after looking into this closer. It appears that it is the personalized categories. When I set up a budget amount on desktop it doesn't transfer that budgeted amount to iphone. When I put it on the iphone it zeros out the budgeted amount on the desktop. It would be nice also to have all categories show up in the budget whether I have spent money on them or not.

Inappropriate?Okay thanks for the info. I am working on this. This is a data synchronization issue that I can fix with an update.
Thanks for posting additional info.

Inappropriate?Thanks Juan,
It is actually all the categories and not just personalized. Sorry for all the postings. Trying to nail down the problem for you. So when I sync desktop to iphone or iphone to desktop, the budgeted amounts go to zero in the one I am syncing to.
