Cha-Ching 2.0 Beta 99 Build 405 Bugs
1. The new accounts window randomly inserts large spaces between accounts. A program restart is required to fix this.
2. Accounts no longer update their reconciled or balance automatically, you must go back to the all accounts view and sometimes restart cha-ching for balances to update.
3. Cha-ching throws the error that it could not read Cha-Ching data base file every once and a while.
4. Cha-ching crashes randomly when adding transactions, it crashes more frequently when adding transfer transactions.
5. Available balance and reconciled balances are sometimes inaccurate. I have had this happen 3 times, each time checking myself with a calculator (and I have alot of transactions) it is always 9.00 or 10.00 amounts off when this happens, I have to add an outgoing transaction to fix it with a tag mess up on it.
6. Payees seem to duplicate when a tag is added to them, for example if i have a payee called iTunes with tag of music and movies and I add a iTunes with tags of Music and Apps the Payee is duplicated.
I won't mention the categorization bug as the developer is well aware of it. Bug #5 is a show stopper, it makes me wish that i had stayed with the old Beta and just set back my clocks. Well, the past is the past and here's to moving foward, I wish the Developers good luck. I have more Bug reports to add but it seems inappropriate to do it here so if anyone has an email address please post it my way. I should also mention that I uninstalled / reinstalled Cha-Ching to the best of my ability (not the Database of course) and these bugs were persistent.

Inappropriate?This is great. They definitely need to hear all this, and your list is great. Send it along with any other bugs you find to support@midnightapps.com and they'll add a bug report to their bug tracker.

We need some more users like you around here who will forcefully deliver their problems and bugs without getting too heated and yelling at people. I'm sure I can speak for Midnight Apps when I say thanks for spelling it out without lack of patience and with an understanding nature. They can definitely use concise reports like this better than having to defend themselves from irate folks. Your post was a very good use of time. -
Inappropriate?It is the least I could do since this is the reason that they release betas, and since I have yet to actually pay for the software I figured i would get involved. Tell me, since you seem to be lingering here as often as I do (I've read the other reports) is it better to email them or simply amend / add topics here?

I'd say now that you've posted here, there's no need to update or add anything, unless you would like to see if anyone else has the problem or just want everyone to see it. Once they add your reports to the tracker, it'll be better any easier just to keep adding to that. So emailing them will be the best option in my opinion. They'll give you a link to the tracker page where you can add stuff.

Thanks for the concise report. As Steven! mentioned is is very helpful to get reports such as these so that we can track down what causes these issues.
Posting them here or by sending an email to support@midnightapps.com is fine.
Any email sent to support@midnightapps.com can easily be turned into an issue for us to track but we read and create new issues based on GetSatisfaction posts as well.
