Deleting a Payee makes transactions with that Payee uneditable
I'd like more control over what goes into Payees. I don't want one-off merchants cluttering Payees, but Cha-Ching creates Payees for them just like merchants I use five times a week. Can we add the ability to hide Payees? If I delete them I can not edit transactions that used that Payee.

Inappropriate?Deleting the payee should not make the transaction un-editable but it will remove the payee from the selected transaction.
Out of curiosity what is your motivation for wanting to hide certain payees? -
Inappropriate?Say I eat at a restaurant once and don't like it. I don't really need that stored in Payees forever, because I'll never go there again. I know the db needs them more than I do; so hiding the ones I don't use let's the db keep them and I don't have to see it. Marking favorites could work, but is a different logical process.
I should clarify that the original issue I reported is deleting a stored payee from Payees, not editing a Payee on a transaction. If I delete a payee stored in Payees, I can't edit any transaction that used that payee. I double-click the transaction and nothing happens. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem. One payee appeared twice in my list of payees. So I deleted one of them. Now I wanted to change a transaction that used that payee, but this does not work. When you click on Edit, CC seems to freeze. You cannot click any account, nor any other transaction. The only way is to delete this transaction, quit CC (because after deletion of this transaction CC freezes), open CC again and make a new transaction. Fortunately I only had to edit such a transaction once.
