Can Cha-Ching Touch Launch Faster?
It seems slow to get past the entry screen. Could an option be added to bypass it and go straight to the login screen (if passwword protection on) ir straight into the default screen of the app? After all, the point of the iPhone app is fast entry of transactions is it not?

Inappropriate?Takes mine a little under 2 seconds. Far from slow. Seems to be slightly faster than most apps really.
Maybe it's the 3GS speed at work for me. -
Inappropriate? To be clear the splash screen does nothing to slow down launch of the application.
We aren't forcing you to see the splash screen. The first two iterations of the iPhone (edge and 3g) aren't terribly fast devices. Cha-Ching loads quite a bit of data which means it can take slightly longer to launch than is desired.
We would like to make this faster but it isnt our highest priority right now.

Ok - I understand, it takes about 4-5 seconds to load on a 3G -
Inappropriate?Ideally we would like to get that down to around 2-3 seconds. We are exploring ways to do this. Obviously the most important thing should be speed of transaction entry since you are on the go. We would like you to be able to enter a transaction in 15-20 seconds including launch time.

Inappropriate?Would it be possible to bypass the splash screen and load directly to the password screen and still have Cha-Ching do the background loading it needs to do? Or is that the main purpose of the splash screen now?
I’m unsure

Inappropriate? The main purpose of the splash screen is to do the background loading.
We are always trying to make everything faster though...
