Where are the edit capabilities located?

Have you ever made a typo during a submission and want to edit for correction! How does one facilitate this feature, if it exist? If it does not, Why not!
Taking pride in presentation and integrity is pointless if we cannot edit simple things like words and comments! I have searched and cannot find this ability. If someone can help I would greatly appreciate their assistance.

This is a tough problem which all user editable sites face, and is seems trivial enough to simply reuse the same form used to create an entry to re-edit it.

The problem for the site maintainers is one of stability. We need to know that the content of the entry isn't fundamentally compromised, either maliciously or accidentally. And until this kind of detection can be handled programmatically, or at least better handled, it's going to take user intervention. In our case moderation.

Most sites address this issue by simply denying the user access to edits. The typical solution is to rely on direct notification to the admin, since only the admin have access rights to make such changes.

Many sites, like Digg and Get Satisfaction, have a 15 minute grace period for edits. We are looking into this.

Many other sites, like Fark and many forums, show a preview of your submission before it's committed. We used to show a preview, but we heard alot of feedback that it was annoying. And in informal surveys, we found that people clicked-through the preview without checking it for errors usually anyway, so we removed it.

Wikipedia has done an amazing job of dealing with this issue, though not without criticism. We are looking for ways to leverage what has been successful for them.

In the recent rewrite of our site, we did add a history feature similar to Wikipedias, allowing us to roll back when things go wrong. The next step is to give access to an entry's owner to make edits which will be accepted by moderators.

Until then, simply contact the admin directly via MilkandCookies.com directly, and I will make the appropriate changes. Please include the URL of the page to be edited.

Additionally, admins and moderators already consistently edit errors and generally shape text into conventions of style and readability.

Of course, this is all exacerbated ten fold in the comments areas due to the fact that comments are a running conversation, with each subcomment being based on the previous. They are however more casual, and typos are usually more forgiven.
