Why isn't international accessibility a priority?
I discovered Milk and Cookies while abroad and for the most part links have been working. My only issue is that there are a few video servers that don't let me access the links, and it can get really irritating. Is is really that difficult to find international links?

Inappropriate?Dear M & Cookier,
I, too, sometimes run into these 'not in your country' links. They are annoying, and I, for one, never submit a link that can't be viewed worldwide. Still, the 'not in your country' links are being tolerated, for now, and sometimes they even make it to the headlines. I'm of the opinion that they should be banned, out of respect to the international community. I mean, M & Cs is an international community. Well, come to think of it, banning goes a bit far; not awarding headline status would be suitable, though. And preferably a statement in the link's description saying 'Not accessible in Canada/Europe/(on)the Moon', or wherever, depending on the nature of the link.
I'm just voicing my sympathy and offering some suggestions to the Big Boss of M & Cs.
Best,
W_W

Inappropriate?I am also annoyed by it. In some cases, it's out of my hands and I fear there may not be a solution. But I am determined to fix what is fixable.
For instance, there are some sites who own content and allow it to be embedded from their own sites, such as Comedy Central and Adult Swim. I am not sure of this, but I think they both restrict their content to certain countries. I am afraid that there is not much I can do about that. The own the content and they vigilant about forcing other embedding sites to remove their intellectual property. It's one stop shopping, limited as it may be.
I think another issue is DailyMotion, who use dailymotion.alice.it for Italy (and other parts of the world)? It may be as simple as reading the country and delivering a different embed code, using dailymotion.alice.it instead. I will look into this.
The preferred video player for MilkandCookies is currently YouTube. Not for their quality, which is fair at best, but because they don't have ads, they partner with the actual content owners, they appear to be available worldwide and they have the option to suppress the menu at the end of the video. Our second choice is DailyMotion, also because of their ad policy, content partnering, but also because if their speed and high quality. But, I need to figure out with their global distribution issues.
In this thread, let's start a list of companies whose videos are currently being embed into MilkandCookies and the countries in which they appear to be blocked. I will look into each one and see what can be done.
I’m hopeful
