Inappropriate?Sorry to hear that, it has certainly not been designed to do that. Minimap is designed to show you that page whenever you upgrade so that you know what has changed. It shows once, then goes away until the next upgrade.
It would seem that, given it effects other addons as well, that there is a problematic addon that is affecting all the others (I am 99.9% sure it is not Minimap as this is the first time I have heard of such an issue), or you accidentally set your home page to all these welcome pages?

The same thing is happening to me as well, on the same day I added two other add ons and all three do the same. As soon as I open firefox they all open and it is so annoying as I have to fill in all 3 forms every time

Yes How do I get rid of this dam program it is doing the same to me. It is driving me crazy, what a crappy add on. -
Inappropriate?Hi Susan
Check in your preferences that your homepage has not been set to the addons welcome page accidentally. -
Hi again. That was one of the first things I did in tools/options. So not sure what to do now

Inappropriate?Hmm, OK, lets try something else
Go to about:config and set gmaps.extensions.0.3.9 to false.
If it is already, then a a bit lost as to what is going on -
Hi again. Now I am thinking that it's a problem with the fire fox tabs ?? So I am going to try and find out how to change it back to the way it was before these were added, as it happened the same time with all three.

Inappropriate?I'm disappointed not to have an answer, but at least I can confirm, and perhaps elaborate a bit. The same sort of thing has been happening to me for about the same amount of time. I got rid of some of the other add-ons, but it's still happening to me (like a few minutes ago) with MiniMap & Google Toolbar "Google Toolbar Installed"....well, yeah, quite a few months ago, and I just checked and it is NOT a new release.
First point of potential importance: There may have been some early exceptions, I'm not sure, and I've done a lot to clean up my registry since then, BUT it seems to only happen to me UPON REBOOT! I leave my computer on most of the time, except for when I NEED to reboot, so it has been fairly easy to pick that up.
Point 2 is merely to try and remember what other add-ons etc. I have had trouble with. As I have already mentioned, Google Toolbar. Also, it was happening with AutoPager, WOT, & WebMyMind.
Among the Add-ons I definitely had no problem with were "Morning Coffee" and "Status Bar Calculator." I have 15 Plugins running with no problem.
Point 3 would seem to indicate the problem lies either with FireFox itself, or my Registry or some other configuration for FireFox on my computer (Does FF depend on any "Temp" settings I may have deleted?).
Point 3 Details: Many, but not all, of my FireFox Options settings revert to default every time I reboot (frustrating, to say the least). Some things I have noticed are : Options > Main > Downloads have reset many times from my choice of "Always ask me where to save files" (perhaps a better default?) to the FF default of "Please clutter my desktop with saved files" or equivalent. Also Privacy > History > Duration reverts to 90 days default. Also Tabs settings and General > Autoscroll vs Smoothscroll.
However, FF Options remember my Passwords going way back, and I think all other Security options, as well as my Home Page (unless Google is the Default?).
It would be EXTREMELY helpful to get some feedback as to whether some, or many others are having similar problems that would point to FireFox as the area to address. I, too, suspect it is not the Minimap Toolbar.
If no one else is having the firefox-related problems, my problems must lie within my own computer. I have already tried removing FireFox, cleaning the registry (primarily keys with no values that have no subkeys with values) and temp files, then reinstalling FireFox. Should I stand alone, II will try that route again, with more intensive searching for remnants of the previous installation.
Long post -- Thank y'all for your patience!
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? This just happened today...out of the blue. I had loaded Firefox 3 months ago but now it suddenly kicked in and started loading all the resource pages for all the add-ons I have as if this is the first time I have ever loaded any of them. Also it changes my start page to this address:
http://en-US.start2.mozilla.com/firef...
What is this all about? I am getting tired of restarting firefox and having to go through this every time.
Thanks
