Mint can't handle communication errors with FI's. Last reply on June 25, 2008 18:07.

A single connection error prompts me to re-enter my login information? GAH! Extremely inconvenient and a royal pain in the patootie.

Let me elaborate - Mint had a problem logging into my Discover card account.

Now, I *know* the credentials are correct, because I use Mint just about daily, and I log into Discover just about daily, but instead of having a link to "retry" clicking on that link prompts me to set up the account all over again (from within Mint). It wouldn't be so bad if it was just a username and password, but I also have to remember which secret questions and answers, too. Argh!

If you're concerned that too many login attempts may lock out someone's account, fine. Say so, but give me the option to proceed and request that you simply retry the login with the same credentials. Why force me to start back at square one?

Odds are theres was a hiccup either in the EDI feed or the screen scraping that you're doing, and to waste my time to re-set everything back up is a royal inconvenience.

    Thanks.

Is it possible to be notified of every transaction? Last reply on June 10, 2008 19:33.

I know this may sound a little bit like overkill, but it my perfect world of banking, I'd like to be notified of every single transaction I make. I'd like to just get a lightweight stream of everything that clears my account, preferably via SMS, although e-mail would work, too. The way I imagine it, I'd simply see every debit or credit as a text message.

Is this possible with Mint, or am I a complete edge case?

Paypal account error, wont let me remove account Last reply on May 12, 2008 17:45.

My paypal account failed and was replaced by a "mint does not support your bank, Click ok to remove these accounts"

There is no OK button, only "cancel". Nothing happens when I click the cancel button or the red X.

Complete Financial Picture Last reply on April 30, 2008 06:41.

I'd like to see a complete personal financial picture. Not just some bank accounts and credit cards, but all of my most important accounts. Mortgage, car loan, student loans, 401k, Roth IRA and pension would be my list. I think this hits most of the major ones most people deal with.

mint just feels incomplete, like "just part of the story" without this.

The same transaction is showing up multiple times. Last reply on November 20, 2007 06:05.

This is happening in different accounts, such as checking and credit cards. One transaction will be repeated as many as 20(!) times.

The account balances are right, but the spending totals and trends are all out of whack.

Can't Verify Phone As Sprint Customer

I can't setup mobile alerts for my account. I never receive the verification codes. My carrier is Sprint. I have experienced problems verifying my phone with other web apps as well. I think Sprint somehow blocks these messages. Can you provide some other type of phone verification please? Can you verify that other Sprint customers are having problems verifying their phones for Mint as well?

I would think that if you can find my ING account, I'd be able to list my sharebuilder account too. Is that not possible? Will it be in the future?

Mint Failing with Citibank Last reply on March 21, 2008 23:08.

Mint is currently failing to retrieve data from my Citibank bank accounts. Mint tells me "Your accounts here seem to be closed," which they are not.

This likely has something to do with a failure on Citi's end -- I've been having trouble using their system with FF2 on the mac for the last few days. Works fine in Safari, oddly.

Would appreciate an update on this.

I use of BofA and I have two checking accounts in California with them....but the titles of the accounts are incredibly long.

"Bank of America - All except WA & ID (Checking & Savings only)"

In the future, can I change these names to shorter aliases?

I just want to close my account with Mint and I wasn't able to figure out how. I don't use it and I don't even know why I started to in the first place. I don't want my financial info on some 3rd party company I don't know much about. Any help would be great.

"Always rename" and "Always categorize" don't work. Last reply on November 15, 2007 23:11.

Every time a repeat transaction shows up on Mint, it shows with it's original name, even though I went through the first time and renamed things with the "Always rename" box checked. Wal-Mart always shows as "Wal" and I have to go in and rename it to "Wal-Mart" and recategorize it as shopping, even though I have done this four times now with the "always rename" and "always categorize" boxes checked. These checkboxes are a good idea, but they don't work; please fix them.

is there a way to rename or nickname your credit card accounts? Last reply on October 28, 2007 11:50.

I have several credit cards with the same financial institution and they all have similar names in the system -- e.g. "LottaCash Credit Card American Express" and "LottaCash Credit Card Mastercard". When those names are truncated on some screens I can't easily tell which is which. Is there an interface somewhere to attach my own short names to them?

Can Mint get information about my cash-back and rewards programs? Last reply on October 16, 2007 03:30.

It would be great if Mint could show me information about the rewards associated with my credit cards. For example, show me how many reward points or how much cash-back I've earned on my credit cards. Show me the details of the rewards program (e.g., 3% cash back at Amazon.com, 1% cash back on all other purchases).

With all of this information, then the real magic could begin. Mint could analyze my reward programs and tell me how to maximize my rewards. For example, if I get 3% cash back on groceries on one of my cards, but Mint sees that I buy some groceries on my debit card, it could tell me things like "Based on your spending trends, you could earn $2.57 in cash back by buying groceries with Card XYZ."

Is this information made available to Mint?
