Manual transaction entry
Is there not a way to manually enter transactions? All of my accounts sync perfectly BUT if I cannot manually enter purchases then all Mint is doing is showing me my current balances. If I have outstanding debit/credit purchases or checks then Mint is not giving me an accurate outlook on my financial situation. At this point it is no better than logging into my bank to see the same information. Am I missing something?

Inappropriate?I understand if you are not able to speak on this but with Intuit announcing their intent to purchase Mint, is there still going to be further development by Mint on features such as this? Or has future development been put on hold until the acquisition is complete?
I’m concerned

Inappropriate?Mint is going to continue just as quickly as we ever had. In fact, we are releasing some products as we speak. Hint: look on the apple app store.
Manual transactions is a surprisingly complicated problem. We have spend lots of time an energy figuring out how to do this with out making it overly complicated. We have some good ideas and are working on a solution now.
Hang in there.

another mint user waiting for this feature. it just makes sense to let users add their historic data. the more data, the better the financial analysis. Duh. -
Inappropriate?I just got set up with Mint and I have to say it has one of the best interfaces I've ever worked with (and I work in the field of software usability!).
But as Andrew said, the inability to enter earlier transaction data is really going to be a showstopper for a lot of users. I was hoping to use the product to do some quick analysis of my past 12 months' finances -- but unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be possible at this point.
Working in software myself, I understand that the release cycle can be a non-stop fire-drill a lot of the time, and not every feature can get the attention it deserves. But if I were you, I'd put this issue near the top of your list, and really devote some resources to it.
