Derivative works commercial usage process.
I created a derivative works using a sample I downloaded on the site. There may be a motion picture publisher using the derivative works in a major upcoming film if all works out well. My question is what procedure(s) do I need to go through to ensure legal use of the sample in the works? Am I required to upload the new works to MMM? ...can't remember the procedures here for this^_^ Please enlighten me how I use this legally and what I need to do to legally allow the motion picture publishers to use the works in their film and soundtrack cd's^^

Inappropriate?Hey Stephen.
Good question! Samples that you download from MMM are free for you to use for non-commercial purposes, subject to the condition that you upload the derivative work and attribute the sample's author.
The procedure for using a sample found on MMM commercially is that you need to get permission from either the user who uploaded (authored) the sample, or from MMM. Of course, you will also have to upload the derivative work and attribute the author of the sample.
What sample did you use? Generally, if you use somebody's sample in commercial work, you will be required to rev share with the author. We can help coordinate all of this. Please email me at alan@mixmatchmusic.com and we can discuss further.
Congrats on this great opportunity!
I’m happy
