flash cs3 crashes
I downloaded the 1.0 version of MM. I tried to compile the Flash CS3 version of the ModestMapSample. Everything works well, but when I close the flash player after testing... Flash CS3 IDE crashes. Anybody else have this problem?

Inappropriate?I have this every time, actually Flash CS3 won't quit at all it just hangs. I have to close the process in task manager to actually get it to quit!

Inappropriate?I don't know if this is any consolation, but my personal experience with the Flash environment for the past year or two has been that it crashes when you try to close a preview with pending HTTP loads (in this case, tiles). I've seen this behavior since Flash 7 for a variety of projects apart from Modest Maps, so I've always chalked it up to Adobe issues, and used MTASC or Flex Builder as a more stable way to work.
Is it possible for you to be more specific: are there still tiles loading, does it happen when you leave it open for a while, etc.?

Inappropriate?i think the Modest Maps is very perfect and its just some very small bug when debugging at different computer environments.
the problem doesnt happen when the tiles be loading and leave it open for a while,it just always happens when the flash is generating the swf file,so i think your are right -- the problem is just about adobe flash issues. -
Inappropriate?I've had the same trouble with Flash CS3 and found this on another website...
Go into ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS3/en/Configuration and trash the workspacelayout.xml file.
Restart Flash and reset your workspace. The problem seems to be moving the Output window. You can reconfigure the palettes as much as you want, but the minute you move the Output window, Flash CS3 locks up when you quit. Haven't tested this fix with MM though.
NOTE: For Mac users, not sure if Win users are experiencing same difficulties :-)
