How do I make private images public again?
I tried to submit a lesson to the library, but it turns out that every image I used was marked as private. The pictures aren't really private--I found them online. I gather that they were made private by default because I saved them in a "student" folder rather than in one of my folders in my file cabinet.
How can I change the pictures' status from private back to public so they work in the lessons? Do I have to re-upload the images into one of my folders, or can I drag and drop them from the student folder into one of mine?
Thanks!

Inappropriate?Hi Pam,
I need some clarification from you before I answer your question. What do you mean the pictures "don't work in the lessons"? Tell me the procedure you used and what you want to do with the pictures?
Thanks....

Inappropriate?Hi Jeff--
I uploaded pictures into a student folder. Those pictures, by default, become "private images". I didn't mean to do that! I want to be able to share them (as part of an activity or lesson) through the public library!
If I drag them into another folder (one that isn't by default "private"), will that work? Or do I have to go through the "upload" process again from scratch?
Thanks!

Inappropriate?Currently the only way imported images can be shared is if they are imported into a teacher's folder. Any image brought into a student folder is automatically made private.
Unfortunately in this situation, you will need to re-upload the pictures into one of your folders (as opposed to one of the folders with a student's name on it) if you want the ability to share them through the library. But your question peaked the interest of our developer, who is looking into tweaks to make this easier. Stay tuned! -
Inappropriate?Hey Pam,
I Tested this out & yes you will have to reimport your images as they still maintain the private label even if you move it from a student folder back to one of your regular folders. I'll see if we can add a feature to this in the future release!
Kindly,
Chris
