My videos that I have uploaded recently to Motionbox is working fine on Shutterfly. The videos that I have uploaded in the past is not working in Shutterfly. I have deleted them from Shutterfly and re-added them, still no go. It is as if the ones I have uploaded before you started your partnership with Shutterfly does not work properly. Please help.
Has anyone successfully used a motionbox video in a lightbox like prettyPhoto? I can get a vimeo video to work with a link like this: http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?width=...
The embedded player for both SD and HD clips seems to really stuff on low spec PC's for example Atom netbooks.
I could play the same clips fine via youtube. Is the player; even in SD known for this? Can it be remedied.
I assume I am inserting the clips correctly. I click on "Playback Difficulties? Watch in Standard Definition" and then take the embed code from the resulting video.
To me looking at both the HD and SD embed videos the result looks very similar.
Am I missing something. Can't help but think there is another lower bit rate video or player there somewhere and I'm missing something. As it is I'm starting to look at a second site to blog videos for lesser PC's. Seems a shame to need that.
Suspect this is off topic and not really support. I'm about to commit a lot of my precious holiday videos to Motionbox and wonder if they will still be around for years to come. I know Motionbox are not a huge company and I'm slightly concerned that they wont be around long term. Anyone else got thoughts on this.
As it happens, having tested sooooo many alternatives. Motionbox is by far the best product that I have used.
Signed up for a paid account. Uploaded AVCHD files. So far unimpressed: Choppy video that doesn't look HD. What's going on?
I get notification that my video is uploaded. I view it, and apparently only in SD format. There is a link to an HD version that I click. It then says "Preparing to Optimize..." I check back later for the HD version, and it plays in a bigger screen, but the quality is not HD, and the video that does play is extremely choppy (even if I let it buffer).
I imagine I'm doing something wrong, so any guidance would be appreciated.
I find that the vimeo HD player is the perfect size for showing off HD video content. Motionbox's current HD player is too large for my liking, and streaming video that size makes it choppier than it needs to be.
I think that the vimeo size is much less demanding on the client computer/browser, and buffering/playback occurs much more quickly, without sacrificing the crispness of HD that we're all after.
Please vote this up as this feature, to me, is one of the most significant deficiencies of Motionbox.
Is this site down AGAIN? A recent video is filled with glitches that are not on the original file uploaded, and now I can't upload again. Your uploader doesn't work and your website is a mess... all the graphics are missing and nothing can be uploaded.
How often does this site actually GO DOWN? How often do you do maintenance? It feels like every time I go on, the site is down... and I'm paying over $100/mo to use Motionbox, so am getting a little frustrated. I understand the need for maintenance, but it seems like it's a daily thing.. if not more than once a day.
I'm becoming extremely frustrated with this service that I'm paying over $100 per month for! Last night for nearly an hour I could not upload anything NOR could any videos be viewed. 8 hours later it's still the same situation! MotionBox is doing "maintenance" ALL THE TIME. That is absolutely unacceptable. If your business is not ready for prime time then you should pull it down and go back to the drawing board and get it right before you start charging people to use it. I would like to know EXACTLY how many times per day this site is down and for how long. If things don't get better, I will find another solution that is reliable.
If I have a video marked PRIVATE can I embed it on my website so that it is ONLY viewable directly from my website? I want people to have to visit my website to view the video and dont want them able to view it anywhere else. Do you need a premium account?
I've pulled AVCHD content from my camera using Final Cut Express. Not when I try to upload the videos (from /Users/Chris/Documents/Final Cut/Capture Scratch/*.mov), motionbox says "Sorry, we're having some problems processing your video!". I don't have the .mts files handy, but can I still upload my current files without losing resolution?
What happened to the screen grabs? Motionbox used to automatically put a screen grab and the "play" arrow in my video clips when I embed them into my website - now its just a blank screen with the "play" arrow??
When embedding video, is there a way for viewers to toggle between HD and SD video? I can embed the HD video on my blog (premium member), but am concerned about viewers not having an option to watch a lower-quality clip instead.
The HD player and video takes a little while to load and I'm concerned that viewers on lower speed connections won't have the ability to control what level of quality of video they watch.
Any suggestions?
When looking at a video page, there's no easy way to go to the parent folder. I can go to the all-folders page, but it would be nice to have a breadcrumb or similar so I could go straight back to the folder the video is contained in.
The HD embed player is great, but some of my users report that it skips and stutters. I am embeding private videos. It would be great to have any of these:
1) A way to switch to the SD stream from within the embeded player.
2) Exposure of the flash variables that would produce an SD stream.
3) The ability to customize the embeded code with options for stream type.
