DV-AVI or MPEG-2?
During my signup I read that users should upload their raw video...not compressed... so if that's the case, when I capture from my camcorder, I should capture as DV-AVI and leave the file as is? If I leave it in raw format, my 60 min video is around 17GB, whereas if I encode it to MPEG2 it is only 4GB. Wouldn't it be better to upload them in a smaller size in case any of my family members wishes to download them to their pc? or... isn't downloading an option for them? I am new, so I wasn't sure if that was even possible.
Thanks.

Inappropriate?Hi Casey,
Video that is not compressed will always look best in the final encoding on Motionbox. However, yes, you can try to convert the video to MPEG2 or as per our instructions on video compression:
http://www.motionbox.com/content/help...
Please keep in mind that a 4GB file is still an very large video that may take quite some time to upload and may or may not have good playback results due to Flash limitations. It would be suggested to cut this video into 2GB or less segments instead.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Anita W.
