Fury suspensions
Hi, first of all, I would like to congratulate MC for those long years of great bikes...it is good to see that this brand still alive.
I have a fury, fitted with a Fox vanilla (needs to be changed) and a Pike...
does a fox DHX good on this bike for bike park use?
what is the maximum length fork we can put on the bike? my frame is a 06 model.
thanks

Inappropriate?Thank for the great props :)
FURY
Shocks: A Fox DHX is a very acceptable rear shock option. There are many opinions that will work well and many opinions on what is best. The reality is that you will put a little time into making some adjustments on you suspension to make it work for you.
Forks: The Fury likes 5" travel. I like 6" for the more aggressive riding.
I would think for park use you would be more happy with 5" travel. If you have the PIKE with U-Turn then you can make the choice of what you think works best. And of course any adjustable travel fork will accomplish this.
Hope this helps.

Inappropriate?hi
a bit late as a reply but...i read a lot of critics about different shocks but in general what will be better on the fury? air or spring type.
I have seen the Xfusion vector RPV or the H3
What is your opinion.
Do we have to stick with 190mm or we can put a 200mm?
I still have my pike in front. -
Inappropriate? In the past a coil spring rear suspension was spec'd OE for the Fury. I think the major reason for this is that air shocks were just not good enough at the time. As for the air shock options I have tested (just a few at this time) my choice is the Marzocchi Roco Air TST. I will be testing an ELKA stage 5 coil shock shortly and will post results when I finish testing.
I have not used any new X-Fusion product but by design the H3 looks interesting. I really have to send out the generic response of "there are many great shocks out there". I would highly recommend using the 7.5" x 2.0" (190mm x 51mm) size that is specified for the bike.
