So Where do you Park your MT Cycle?
I didnt see any thread as to " Say hello and Introduce, yourself" so i figured id start one.
Been an avid Mountain cycle customer since 2000 when i bought my first San andreas model year 2000, and i just did a frame up restore / re-paint rebuild, i had brought it to a custom body shop the specializes in Aluminium and powder coating ( ill post picks soon) these guys totally blew me away with the final paint and the frame look awsome, now i am custom building it up the paint scheme will be blue frame with white parts. i should have it done by June..
My second Mountain Cycle is a SIN, (sorry to see them gone), This one i purchased from Green fish sports (frame only) and built up to my specs, Marzocchii bomber frnt shock, xt groupo, i love this bike, its my everday cross country / freeride / get out and show the newbies something awsome and explain to them this bike kicks..Bleep....bleep & bleep..
so tell us about your Mountain Cycles...
Thanks\

Inappropriate?Hey mike - I park mine under the stairs.... you have two you lucky fellow!!
I have a san andreas DHS with a fox rp3 giving 6" at the back and 170mm boxxers at the front. Azonic bar and 50mm stem, middleburn single ring crank, hope m4s with mavic 321s on bulbs with 2.3f/2.2r tyres (mud clearance is a necessity where i live) Finished off with xtr mech & shifter, lock on grips and BLACK WIDOW flat pedals (if anyone knows where i can get another set of these with mtb threads, please let me know!!!!!!)
Most of my riding is cross country trails, but i like being able to throw it down the rough stuff too so appreciate the long travel setup. The extra weight from this is not really an issue as i'm one of the faster riders in my group of mates, and the comfort and durability are more important to me - although just being able to ride over stuff rather than picking a way through is very grin inducing!
Not had it all that long and struggle to get time to ride every weekend, but am looking forward to the wet spring evenings to go get myself dirty. Currently debating shock choice at the momento, as i'm not really a fan of the air shock after a dozen rides (i've always had coilovers previously) and want to give myself a bit more adjustability in shock positioning - the 200mm 2" stroke rp3 seems to be as big as will go in the frame with no room to manouevre (see my other post.......)
Any suggestions to this would be much appreciated, expecially if you ride or have experimented with a 6" travel model.
Once i've got the setup exactly how i want it, and put a few scratches in it, then i might think about tarting it up a bit - fresh licks would be nice, but are low priority until i'm getting the most out of it. Think i'd be tempted to go banana yellow if i did, as i like to blend into the background unnoticed......
I’m looking forward to getting shouted at for bringing mud in the house
