How about adding the google unit converter? (ie. kg in 15oz = 0.425...kg)

why don't you add the command "torrent" to search for torrents using mininova or torrentz? it will be great..

go-to command - if a web address is shown not as a link, I want to be able to select it and ubiq "go-to this".

for example if I define long-command-a and long-command-b, i should be able to type "lo", then press TAB and get to "long-command-", at which point I can type "a" or "b" to select the right one.

What if the command line could highlight recognized keywords (such as command names and modifiers) to differentiate them from parameters? Right now, commands and parameters sortof blend together, and it's sometimes hard to tell how Ubiquity is interpreting your command. Highlighting commands and keywords makes this less ambiguous and provides more feedback to the user as they type.

Example:

I think that it will be a helpful command using this new service from google.

The command should write on a default notebook on a way like this:

notebook this

or

notebook something that i want to write

It will be like tag command but doing it on del.icio.us.

for example: del.icio.us (name) (tags)*

I used Ubiquity for a day now, and I love it! I'm looking to contribute obviously, like we all should ;)

Today I searched for a book using the ISBN number.
I can of course look it up on amazon, but I want to find out which library has it. This involves me opening up a new tab, going to wikipedia, and going to book sources (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:...). Maybe a fun feature to add is to be able to Ubiq 'ISBN 1871890306 in San Francisco', and then you would get all the libraries in SF that are in 'Book Sources' that have the certain book.

I'm still trying out the commands tuturial, so I'm working on it, but if I can think of it, somebody can program it ;)
Any replys would be great (tips,hints, encouragements, whatever!)

I think that the weather option should allow you to use commands to see different aspects of the weather forecast. I would like to be able to see the moving radar and a multi day forecast.

'this' always refers to highlighted text if available.
'here' should always refer to your geolocation that way command
writers wouldn't even have to call geoLocation explicitly. It would be
abstracted out to another layer.

Another useful command of google es cinema search given a actual movie and a zip or city.

A command like: cinema (movie) (city) will be pretty cool.In addition google/movies is a critic/review search tool.

Would it be possible to add Ubiquity to the toolbar, for instance, underneath the address bar? Or would this make it too cluttered? As you type into it the options Ubiquity give you could appear much in the same way that most browsers predict the website address? It would allow much better integration with the browser and would remove the need to type ctrl-space or options-space to open up Ubiquity.

for example (like translate): wikipedia (search) (in language)

wikipedia sg (in hungarian) -> use hu.wikipedia.org for search
wikipedia sg (in french) -> use fr.wikipedia.org for search
etc.

if (in language) is empty -> use the english version of wikipedia (like now)

For me as a Java developer it would be great to get all the class libraries I want just by entering the name of the class in ubiquity.

Actually I have no idea if this is even possible and I don't have the time to write that on my own but a command like that would be a great help.
And if it works you can add commands for other programming languages too.

I have been playing around with Ubiquity. This is one of the coolest new things goin! It is a really awesome way to get things done while on the net. I have bumped into a couple snags. 1 - Ubiquity does not recognize highlighted text if the text you have highlighted is in a separate tab. For example. If I highlight an address, and I want to "map" it, but have tabbed into a new page for gmail, I have to go to the tab where I have the address hightlighted map it then paste it into a gmail.

I know I could just cut and paste the address into an email, but I thought Ubiquity was supposed to make things easy - lol. Anyway, just a thought - make ubiquity recognize highlighted text in all tabs.
2nd - Not all of my Gmail contacts are recognized. I have 3 emails for 1 person, and Ubiquity doesnt snag the one i want. I still have to manually go in and get the right email address.

3rd - General suggestion - (more of a question) is there a learners handbook for commands? and is there a tutorial for learning Java script?

I am sure many people have already said this one but I just thought a good idea for Ubiquity is the idea of being able to type in a zip code and a movie name and it gives you two or three local theater times for that movie.

If I could use Ubiquity to Add a task, remember my tasks, I think rememberthemilk.com it's the best way to do it and if I could use it from ubiquity it would be excelent.

Just like when you use the address bar to input tags for bookmarks and select down to the bookmark you want using tab, it would be useful to be able to do this with Ubiquity too.

For example:

Take the example on the help tutorial, you want to find the weather in Chicago. If you highlight Chicago and hit Ctrl-Space it brings up the Ubiquity bar. Then if you hit w it shows you:

Wikipedia Chicago
weather Chicago

and you have to use the down arrow key (or the mouse) to get to weather Chicago rather than Wikipedia Chicago. If you could just hit tab, and have it move down to weather Chicago, then you could hit enter and off you'd go, rather than having to move your hand away from the main part of the keyboard to use the down arrow key.

The tab method is the way it works for pulling up bookmarks in the address bar, and I think it would be more familiar, and more efficient, to use the same method for Ubiquity.

Wouldn't it be great to have a command to convert different currencies, or even converting all prices on the page?
That is something i would really like to see in this amazing addon, something like "convert all/this from GBP to DKK" (danish currency) would be great!

Using Ubiquity to open a new tab with a url from searching your history. For example, typing "open lost" would search my address history for any urls matching "lost" much like typing in the address bar currently does.
