I think weave needs a way to notify upon syncing. And give the option to sync on closing if it doesn't do it automatically. And maybe a "so and so minutes since last sync" when you hover on the icon
Hello Everyone! The idea of this thread is to allow people to post ideas for add-ons or extensions for Thunderbird AND to allow people to vote on these ideas.
This way Mozilla and any developer/s working here could quickly see which ideas are wanted the most and include them in their work or create something completely new to address the want.
Let's just please follow these simple rules so it's all easy to track...
1. To post an idea, use the "reply" feature, NOT the "add a comment" feature
2. To vote for an idea, use the "add a comment" feature right below the idea you want to vote for, NOT the "reply" feature
Hope this helps build momentum for TB ideas! Thanks!
I have been to the mozilla.org product pages. I have been to their wiki. I have visited their developer resource pages. I viewed the Thunderbird bugfix discussions on bugzilla.
Only the bugzilla site shows lots of activity with regard to Thunderbird. But (understandably) it's a lot of developers exchanging notes about bugs and fixes - no mortal users, that I could see anyway. What was kinda funny was that the mozilla wiki's mission and roadmap page for Thunderbird was totally blank(!)
So it does seem like THIS is the only space right now where us ordinary users can ask questions and share solutions or ideas in a flexible, unstructured way. Problem is, we're all alone over here and mozilla is NOT hearing any of this.
I have an idea though: the Thunderbird discussion page on bugzilla has the emails of all the developers. If mozilla isn't officially here yet, why don't we invite all those developers to getsatisfaction and to this Thunderbird group? They're the guys who will be building add-ons and extensions for Thunderbird anyway!
I have no idea how this is all going to pan out, but wish me luck!
