Alt+space doesn't work
I have ubiquity 0.1.4 and firefox 3.0.5 and I'm running OS X 10.5.6. When I press alt+space, nothing happens! If I go to about:ubiquity then I am able to change the invoking command, skins, create new commands, etc., but still nothing happens . Please help?

Inappropriate?Try Cmd+Space

Inappropriate?Ubuntu 9.04 Firefox 3.0.11, Ubiquity 0.5
I'm having the same issue just starting the tutorial.
alt-space opens the window menu rather than anything with Ubiquity
ctrl space, cmd-space, and shift space do nothing.
Thank you - Jonnan -
Inappropriate?I've tried all the options, and none are working on MacOSX. Ctrl-space always opens the window menu.... beginning to feel that 0.5 was release too premature.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I thought you were supposed to use CONTROL SPACE, or OPTION SPACE, not ALT SPACE, so that might be your problem...
I’m amused
-
Inappropriate? The tutorial specifically said alt-spacebar, but I tried the other meta-keys as well to no effect.
I'm a relative newbie to linux, particularly in the gui - I'm presuming this is a conflict but don't actually know.

Inappropriate?Although, in a moment of inspiration nearing the competence of a three-year-old, there *is* a settings menu, like *right* there in plain sight.
And if you go into it you can, by odd coincidence, change the default key combination to invoke Ubiquity.
And the Tutorial even notices it has been changed, imagine that! Nearly as if intelligent people had programmed it so even the mildly retarded could use it!
{Slams head into desktop repeatedly}
Pardon me, I obviously need to get my medications adjusted or something. Or even, just get on some . . .
Thanks - Jonnan
I’m Mildly Retarded, Obviously

Inappropriate?LOL Jonnan.
Nick, it seems you are having this problem too. Do you see anything in the error console (tools->error console) after pushing the shortcut key? If you type "about:ubiquity" into the address bar, do you get the about page?

Inappropriate?surprisingly enough... my computer was asleep for the weekend and this morning, all seems to work fine... All I can figure is that maybe a script on the page I was on was trying to capture the input preventing Ubiquity from receiving it. maybe a 'userstyle' or greasemonkey script who knows.... I'll keep an eye on it for a while.
I’m unconcerned
