Cannot add Calender event. Asked to logg in when I already am.
When typing "add-to-calender 10:30 7 July Taskname" get a message: "Please make sure that you are logged in to Google Calender" which I certainly am.
Why do I get the message and how can I add events to my calender?
I've got Windows XP, FF 3.5 and Ubiquity 0.1.8

Inappropriate? Is your Google Calendar a regular google one or one using google apps for domains? (ie. is it at google.com/calendar or blahblah.com/calendar)
-
Inappropriate?I have original google calendar: http://www.google.com/calendar/render... I've just tested it on my Mac with the same result: I'm asked to log in while I'm already logged in.
OS X 10.5.7, FF3.5, Ubiquity 0.1.8.
Another strange thing that I don't see this conversation on my dashboard and I don't get messages when somebody posts an answer here. :-(
P.S. Hmm... This particular message is reflected on the dashboard. But not the first one and not Heather's reply. :-( Anyhow I've RSS subscribed to this topic and will follow it.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate? Is your browser set to accept cookies? It is looking for a specific cookie to see if you are logged in to google calendar.
-
Inappropriate?Yes, my browser does accept cookies (but not third part's cookies). The surprising thing is that it doesn't work either on windows or on OS X.
Both OS are in Swedish. Can it be a problem? -
Inappropriate?Hmmm....you can go to Tools -> Options -> Privacy and click "View Cookies" to see if the google.com CAL cookie is there. I would guess it's not.
The problem is probably third party cookies. The domain for the calendar cookie is ".www.google.com" which might not match the ".google.com" domain that the cookie is from. So I think you need to have third party cookies accepted for the google calendar command to work. I'll file a bug report and we'll take a look at it.

Inappropriate?Have already checked. The cookie is there but it doesn't work anyway.

However, when I enable the third party cookies the add-to-calender command works as it should.
I have also made a work around. I've left third party cookies unchecked but I've added google.com to Exceptions. This setup seems working.
Thank you for your help Heather.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? Thanks for explaining the workaround! That behavior is just plain weird re: third party cookies.
I’m happy.
