Choppy Flash Videos in Firefox Made Even Choppier by Firefox's Session-Saving Feature

(Flash 10,0,32,18, Firefox 3.5.3, Mac OS 10.4.11, 2.0 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook w/ 2GB Ram and no dedicated GPU)

For a long time now, I've been dealing with horrendously poor performance in Flash videos running inside Firefox. Youtube (and competitor's) videos stutter frequently even at the lowest quality settings. My only option has been to use Lightbrowser (http://www.xiotios.com/lightbrowser.html), which runs Flash quite smoothly even when Firefox is running simultaneously.

While it seems clear to me that most of this is Adobe's fault (https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP...), I remain baffled that Firefox has been much more affected by this than any Webkit-based browsers such as Safari or Lightbrowser.

Part of the solution comes from this article: http://lifehacker.com/5342636/how-to-.... Apparently, Firefox's session-saving feature is causing some of the choppiness that I have been experiencing in Youtube and other Flash-based video sites. As a result, I am now using Tab Mix Plus's (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...) session manager, which has improved the situation for me somewhat.

After applying the information from the Lifehacker article as discussed above, Flash video in Firefox remains choppy but it's now somewhat usable. I can usually get the information I need out of a video, but I can't rely on it for watching anything with a lot of action. For this, I still need Lightbrowser. Running Firefox in Safe Mode or dropping Add-ons could further help the situation, but I'd be neglecting the main reason why I have chosen Firefox as my default web browser in the first place.

From my understanding, future versions of Firefox are expected to have significant performance improvements. With that in mind, does Mozilla intend to address any of these issues so that Firefox can better compensate for Adobe's inadequacies on my system?
