Firefox (all versions) crashing when opening certain sites
I was told to start a new thread from an earlier thread.
After a format and a new HD, Firefox started crashing upon opening some sites.
It doesn't crash every time, but there are sites that have a large likelyhood to crash and others that can be opened safely. Most forums cause crashes, for example.
I tried reinstalling, I tried making new profiles, I tried removing all plugins, I tried older versions. I tried Safe Mode. Nothing has changed: it still crashes in exactly the same way.
One 99% sure way to cause a crash that i've found is to try and browse http://danbooru.donmai.us/
about:crashes can't help me, apparently. the "get help" button searches for "SubstituteOtlChars(otlRunProp const*, otlList*, otlFeatureSet const*, otlList const*, otlList*, otlList*, otlList*)", which turns up nothing.
This is a sample crash report: http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report...
Please help! I've been using Firefox for several years and I've grown extremely fond of it. I desperately want to find a way to fix this problem rather than abandon Firefox and use some other browser.
