Firefox Connection Problem (With weird relationship with java)
I have been using Firefox with great success for years now. I haven't had any problems.
About one week ago, though, my computer started acting weird. Firstly, Mozilla would not connect to the internet, but IE and chrome could. No error number or message, just said it could not connect.
But what's more interesting, at the same time, my java stopped working as well! Thankfully, it gave me a link to a error log, which I will post if requested (it's long). Of course, it's all a foreign language for me.
I use a HP laptop w/ vista. The java error, more specifically, referred to being unable to connect with the current "internet options". Sounds like these 2 problems are related.
And yes, I have reinstalled both things. Multiple times.
Help?

Inappropriate?I have the same problem. I have had an HP B1200 then bought an HP DV6. Since I have this computer, firefox disconnects regularly. All of a sudden pages will just not download. When I try to close the program or kill the process, firefox will just not restart because a process hangs on in the task processes and cannot get rid of. I am thinking maybe reverting back to IE or maybe trying chromes, which would be a pity because firefox has so many usefull add-ins.
I’m confused and frustrated
