Firefox crashed since the update (even in Safe mode, and on all my laptops)
I was told to start a new thread from an earlier thread.
TYPE YOUR PROBLEM HERE, and a short subject line in the small box below.
Firefox 3 crashes, even in Safe mode. I really need it for work, but nothing I do seems to work. My other 4 laptops have automatically updated to Firefox, and it has also crashed there.

Inappropriate?Do you get any links listed when you put
about:crashes
into your address bar? The Breakpad crash reporter stores links there.
Right-click -> Copy link location
on a few of them and paste into this thread -
Inappropriate?I can't put about:crashes anywhere because Firefox crashes as soon as I open it, so it won't even load at all, even in Safe mode. The same thing happens on my other laptops too, ever since the update.
Thanks for your help though. -
Inappropriate? How do I save my bookmarks, settings, etc, and move to another browser if it comes down to this? I would rather not do that, but I'm very busy and I need to get this working tonight
-
Inappropriate?Try going into C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ (on Vista)
or if on windows xp: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
copy the folder in there to your desktop or something, and then go back and delete it.
Now try starting up Firefox again and see what happends. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for your help Daniel. Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem.
It still crashes on Safe mode and in normal mode. In normal mode, it's going through an update and checking compability with add-ons, then it crashes.
In Safe-mode, a window popups asking me to check what I want to disable, and then crashes right away.
Any ideas? -

Inappropriate?I solved the issue by going back to a previous version of Firefox.
