Firefox Web Browser Won't Access Yahoo Mail!
I have not been able to access yahoo email on the firefox browser - it works on internet explorer and google chrome. It worked previously with no problem - this has been going on for three weeks. When I put the password in the Yahoo log-in the firefox reverts to the log-in again. HELP!

Inappropriate? This is usually caused by Yahoo extensions, such as Yahoo Toolbar. Check for any such add-ons by selecting Add-Ons from the Tools menu. If you have any, disable them, then restart Firefox.
If this does not fix the problem, try deleting your Yahoo cookies. To do this, select Options from the Tools menu (on Mac, it's Firefox...Preferences), then go to the Privacy tab. Select "Show cookies", then search your cookie list for Yahoo. Use this dialog to remove each Yahoo cookie, then try again. -
I, too, am having this problem. When you suggested the fix, a light bulb went off. Right before I began having the problem, I was instructed by a tech. from Costco's photo support to remove all the cookies. Also, to enable all Java related add-ons. The issue was that I had an old Java version and couldn't upload to Costco's photo department. So, their fix was to manipulate cookies and add-ons and download Java 6.0. It worked, however, that's precisely the time yahoo browser began freezing. It's been 3 days. IE works fine. Currently, in the add-ons I have several that are Yahoo . Most are ActiveX Control, a few are Browser Helper; Browser Control. One is Toolbar. Were you suggesting to disable all Yahoo add-ons? -

cookies as you explained did the trick! Thank you. -
Inappropriate?I was able to resolve the problem on my computer by installing the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. I'm clueless about what Flash has to do with reading text emails or viewing emails with images, but regardless, the problem appears fixed.
I’m happy

Because I used to be a computer programmer, I had to try to fix the problem on my own. I was able to fix the problem by reinstalling the latest version of Yahoo Browser. So for now, all is well.
