How do I change the color of visited links?
Ugh, ever since I got Firefox 3 it changes the color of visited links and I don't know how to fix it. The cache is disabled and everything.
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?Hi my name is Josh (:myles7897), I volunteer giving support at Live Chat, http://support.mozilla.com/chat.
To change the color of text, including visited links, go to the Tools menu, and then Options. In the Content tab click Colors, under Font and Color. Then choose which colors you want. Some pages choose what color they want their text. To make it all one color, uncheck the box that says "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above." Then hit ok, and ok one more time.
Your all set.

I’m in love with Firefox 3

Inappropriate?Okay, but that changes the color of ALL the colors on the page, which makes most sites look horrible. All I want is for links that I click on to be the same color as unclicked links on the page. It did that with previous versions of Firefox when I disabled the cache and history, because the browser itself kept no record of me clicking that link.

Inappropriate?I figured out how to actually solve the problem on my own, but thanks anyway. (I had to uncheck "keep my history" rather than just setting it for 0 days.)

Inappropriate? Is there any way to change link color only?
-
Yes, follow the directions that Josh gave and change the color of Unvisited Links by clicking on the color next to the words Unvisited Links: -
Unfortunately that does not change link color ONLY, when you uncheck "allow pages to choose own colors" sometime pages become unreadable. If you don't uncheck it nothing happens to link colors. I'm pretty sure that when I first used Netscape, pre Win'95 I was able to change links only. My home page is a contest site that uses green and a slightly lighter green that is difficult to distinguish. So much for progress:( Thanks for quick reply -

BS Done that and does not work I HATE FIREFOX 3 they should never
release a piece of garbage until it is ready. It took me all day to try and fix some of the BS which should have been optional on/off "the star", etc.
It still shows a different clor on visited pages when they are bot set to the same color AND on yahoo they do not change color but they lighten the color after a visit. I hate it, I hate it and if they do not come up with a better browser - comparable to 2 I will most likely change to a BETTER browser, just like I dumped IE now FF is getting to be to much of a pain. Can not reccomend garbage. If you have not update...DON"T DO IT!!!!!!
I’m SAD SAD SAD

I'm not sure how you removed "the star", but you should be able to use the Stylish extension or edit the userstyle.css file to achieve the desired results. -
new features are a given to any update for anything. Although the new features are not documented in a single file that is user friendly; a quick Google search can explain any feature.
Also Flock and Opera are great browsers. :)
