Inappropriate?Like Firefox, Thunderbird is a desktop application. However, you can set your gmail to check other accounts, check out mail fetcher.

Inappropriate?Ok so let me get this straight. I can use Thunderbird to combine my Gmail, Hotmail and domain accounts into one program? And then when I want to check on the go from the web I can use Gmails "mail fetcher" to check my Thunderbird?
I’m confident

Thunderbird is like Outlook or Eudora in that it is a mail client. It sits on your desktop. I'm recommending an alternative, you can use Gmail's mail fetcher to fetch mail from other services (I think you have to pay to access hotmail over POP though, but AIM is free over IMAP) and bring it into your Gmail. It is using gmail as a web mail client, but Thunderbird sits on your desktop. I wanted to help with your issue. However, you can indeed use Thunderbird as your desktop client to check your gmail as well as just check gmail (and other items) on the go, but they are two different products. -
Inappropriate?Isn't it possible to install Thunderbird on a pendrive (like Firefox) and carry it around with me?! That way Tbird would become more mobile :)

It's still a desktop application, he said web access, not thumbdrive access. -
Yes, you're right. I'm sorry. I was just trying to find a workaround to make Thunderbird useful.
