@howardowens If you're using Firefox, there's an application called "Undo close tab" that you can download. It brings up the page & history.

Inappropriate?No, undo close tab is a feature of default Firefox builds. If you disable session restore capabilities, however, you also disable undo close tab. I believe the extension Undo Closed Tabs Button has confused you, the extension does not enable the functionality, it merely makes it easier to undo specific closed tabs (instead of the most recent one).
I overheard your tweet mainly because I wanted you to know that you can do it without restarting Firefox (and thus losing the ability to undo the closed tab that caused you to look for the feature! :) ) -
Inappropriate?If you use Tab Mix Plus, you get a drop down list of closed tabs and a ton of other stuff.
I can't have firefox without it.
