I've tried everything I can think of, and I can't clear the browsing history.

No mater what I do I can't clear firefox's history. I've done ctrl+shift+del, checked every box, nothing. I've tried highlighting every thing in the history sidebar and pressing the delete key and right clicking and hitting delete, nothing. I tried both of those in safe mode, nothing. What do I need to fix so this works????
