Labs related websites are confusing...
Why are pages related to Mozilla labs projects such a mess?
I recently discovered Ubiquity and I must say that I love it, even though it is only in it's early stages. However, I found some bugs.
Because I like the project I'd like to report those bugs but in general I find the pages related to labs/Ubiquity/... to be a mess. You have links to a wiki, to this "getsatisfaction" site, ... All apparently requiring separate logins/usernames/... Hardly making life easier. Why is it like this??? It is hardly encouraging for the less savvy user who wants to learn more/contribute.

I have this question, too!
Tell me when someone answers.
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?OMG! Is *that* why I see so many Ubiquity reports showing up here?
If that's the case then I totally agree, it's an awful design with the weird consequence of an uneven majority of questions here being asked about Ubiquity without saying so, as they expected us to know that's what the question is about.
I’m disenchanted

Way to go with the sarcasm... Fact remains that you need to create more accounts than is sensible to report/comment on stuff.
You have this place, then there is the issue tracker at http://labs.toolness.com/trac/report/1, there is the Wiki, ... efficient this is not. -
Actually, GSFN is used for Firefox support questions even though Mozilla has never endorsed it for that use (you're supposed to use http://support.mozilla.com). GSFN is the "help forum" whilst the trac bug reporting system (which integrates with GSFN, kinda) is for actual known bugs. This way people aren't reporting bugs that aren't bugs but are actually just support problems. -
Inappropriate?I believe the more sites that implement OpenID, as getsatisfaction already does, the easier it will be to access those sites. Let this be another vote for that end.
I’m not being sarcastic

Inappropriate?Making this a separate reply instead of an edit because it's on a separate topic:
I don't like the other labs forums. They used to all share this Simple Machines Forum that had nick collisions for almost every possible username, and also it cleared all the fields so you couldn't just get a "username not available, try another" it was "username not available, type in a new username, your password (twice), your e-mail again, and also this new captcha". I complained (many sites, including this one I believe, detect nick collisions midair so that you don't have to refill the entire form) and was basically told that I was "spamming" for Get Satisfaction. Imagine that, spamming for a forum where users are clamoring for assistance and support. How horrible that must be. -
Ah, that explains a lot of course! I didn't know that the labs forums were such a mess. The GSFN website in itself is quite nice actually, m online gripe was that it was not directly clear were you were supposed to go to report stuff. Thanks for the clarification!
