Make Address Bar NOT open a new tab.
I understand some people like it, but I HATE that if you type an address into the address bar on a tab which already has a webpage in it, Firefox opens a new tab and doesn't change the address of the current tab. How can I disable this _feature_, it reeeeallly bothers me. If i want to open it in a new tab ill open a new tab.

Inappropriate? This is NOT Firefox's default behaviour, I don't even think it's a behaviour you can invoke with an about:config setting.
The only way I can reproduce something like this behaviour is by holding the ALT button down when I press Enter.
To rule out possible causes, as a diagnosis step please see if you can reproduce this behaviour in either Firefox's own safe mode or a newly created profile you switch to and add a reply detailing your results. -
Inappropriate?Oh okay great thanks. I didn't think it was default either, but I figured it came down in some update or something. It has always bothered me. But I never thought to look at my add-ons.
It ended up being a feature of the "Tree Style Tab" add-on, and it can be disabled.
Thanks for your help.
