More hot key options on Windows?
I'm struggling with assigning a hot key on Windows. RIght now CTRL + SPACE is given over to Launchy, but using SHIFT + SPACE causes me to open Ubiquity by accident a lot when typing. It's more my problem than Ubiquity's, but is there any way to allow for multiple modifiers or to get the ALT or Windows key working? I can't assign ALT because the browser chrome catches it; can't assign Windows because the OS captures that.

Inappropriate? You could set Launchy back to the default of Alt+space, or anything else with shift, ctrl, win or alt. It can use any key you like with one of those, pretty much. Anyway, something feels really natural about alt+space.
Personaly, I think someone ought to make a Ubiquity plugin for Launchy, as they're deisgned to work in almost the same way. (customisable commands, type what you want it to do, etc). Taking the launchy idea of intelligent and adaptive DWIM for ubiquity would be nice, too. I'd do it myself if I could. I'm rambling again. Sorry.
I’m sleeptalking. Heh.

Or a Launchy plugin for Ubiquity. -
I did think of that, but then I thought "But ubiquity is a plugin in itself, while launchy is a focus for plugins". It's about the basic structure of the two programs. Plus, launchy looks nicer at the moment. (yes, I know it depends what skin you use) -
Inappropriate?Or I could be less stupid and figure out I can use a modifier key and a letter, which I ignored originally. However, neither ALT nor Windows is available, as per my original question.

That works too. And fair enough, although I don't have any problems with firefox's chrome and launchy on alt-space. -
Inappropriate?Looking at it again, it seems to be Windows, not Firefox, catching ALT-SPACE: it pops up the same menu you get when clicking on Firefox (or any program's) icon in the top left of the window bar. Could be the result of some 3rd-party, dual-monitor services I have running.

That's windows' default behaviour. If you set something Launchy to the same shortcut, it intercepts and catches it before it brings up the menu. I've experienced it when launchy crashed, and I forgot to re-open it. -
Inappropriate? Is there a place where I can shut that off (sine I have 0 use for it)? Thanks.

Inappropriate?I wish I could use the Windows Key, but Gecko apparently refuses to support it:
