Inappropriate?Hi my name is myles7897, I volunteer giving support at Live Chat, http://support.mozilla.com/chat.
This add-ons, Oldbar makes the location bar look and feel like the Firefox 2.0 location bar.
Can I ask why you don't like the awesome bar (the new location bar).

Firefox support can be found in the form of a knowledge base, you can ask a question at support.mozilla.com, visit our chat room at irc.mozilla.org #firefox, or just post here at Get Satisfaction.
I’m madly in love with the awesome bar.

Inappropriate?Absolutely redundant and unuseful for advanced users.
They are the ones that supported Mozilla till now.
I can understand Mozilla needs to extend the use of FF3 to more people as possible, thus "enflating" the product with gadgets and cosmetics.
Please keep all this, but give us the chance to really deactivate this superflous and resources-consuming gadget.
Is Mozilla Corporation discontinuing his policy for hightly customizable products?
Then:
I think is an awesome stupid thing to revert the address bar function with an added plugin. Why not adding the "awesome bar" with a plugin instead?

Inappropriate? No problem associated with the new look&feel but frustrated with its behavior.
Just a couple of minutes using it and you can easily perceive that you take more time to find a url.
i.e.: You are a plurk (plurk.com) happy user. You try to access this site so you start tipping p char.
In Firefox 2 plurk was the only one suggested address. Now you get a lot of suggestions because almost every url uses the P character (httP://....)
This is just only a sample case. I think it would not be difficult to add a about:config switch that enable users to change the bar type if you don't want to overpopulate the Preferences interface.
Other missing feature, the 'Go buttom' that now is an addon(?!) The reload button does not behave in the same way. Sometimes you need to go again to an URL and not to resubmit a form (posting data).

Inappropriate?Ok josh!. I'll will post it there.
But its just only a comment: I don't hate the bar :)
Its a sad position the one of that one that gets something for free, complains everytime and does nothing for its development.
My answer is just a personal assessment and that may not be similar to what most think. Thanks You!
I’m thankful
