Please, improve the "link-to-wikipedia" command!
Change the "link-to-wikipedia" command so that it can work outside (besides working within) the rich text-editing field context. I'd greatly appreciate! Thank you in advance!!

Inappropriate?Actually, I was thinking about this recently with regard to the tinyurl-needs-text-editing-field... What if you could invoke the command and put the link requested (Wikipedia, tinyurl, Google maps, etc) into the paste buffer?
-
Inappropriate? If anyone could share a javascript function that actually puts some string in the paste-buffer, that would be greatly appreciated.
And thanks for the idea, I think it's a good one.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? We could do like the tinyurl command - add a better preview so you could copy and paste it.
I tried to use the paste-buffer with the tinyurl command but with no success, but i'll try again. -
Inappropriate?@Fernando - putting the URL into the paste buffer doesn't yet exist - I just think it's easier than re-copy/pasting the preview of the tinyurl (as per @griflet)

Inappropriate?@fiveinchpixie i just made a function to use the clipboard - just need some testing. If it works as expected i will try to add it to tinyurl and to link-to-wikipedia.

Inappropriate?fyi i added an CmdUtils.copyToClipboard function to the repository trunk. So, if any of you is using the mercurial version, it should be already there.
