Position on the web page changes when you change the zoom level in Firefox 2 or 3
It is very annoying that when you change the zoom level in Firefox 2 or 3, the position on the web page changes. For quite a while I stayed with Opera because Opera keeps the top of the screen at the same position of the web page when you change the zoom level.
It is also quite annoying that you cannot force Firefox to line break at the border of the window. Sometimes when you increase the zoom level, the text lines will be longer than the screen.

Inappropriate?I'm not getting this. I moved the page to be about in the middle, where the top of your questionbox is the top of the page, then zoomed. Of course the bottom moved down, but the top stuck exactly where it was. I'm using the latest Firefox 3 nightly, though, so this answer MIGHT just be "Fixed in Firefox 3".

This post sounds most like bug 64926, wherein the position of the scrollbar remains the same as the page gets bigger so when zooming in you are shown sections you have already read, or out you are shown sections of the page you have not gotten to (assuming a read from top to bottom). Does that seem to match your problem?
