Remove my top menu bar please.
I'd like to remove the File, Edit, View... menu from the browser window. Is there a way to do that? I never use those controls, and I have a small screen that I would like to maximize.

Inappropriate? Many people like to move all the buttons from other toolbars onto the menubar thereby saving screenspace by not needing other toolbars. View -> Toolbars -> Customize if you want to try it yourself.
There are also extensions that help minimise the area used, such as
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...

Inappropriate?Thank you anonymous benefactor. That extension did the trick. After installing, you can go in and deselect all the menu items so that the entire bar disappears. This is what I wanted to do. I didn't know that was what I wanted to do until I saw google chrome...
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Disregard my instructions. Once you have installed the add-on, all you have to do is right click and hide menu bar.
I’m indifferent

Inappropriate? For what it's worth, Bug 394288 has been assigned to implement this natively.
Also, for those wanting firefox to completely resemble the google Chrome browser, try the complete Chrome package extension.
