Signs of bloat?
I've noticed a lag time when calling up Ubiquity (version 0.1.7.1) in FF3.1b3 on my Powerbook. The cursor sometimes takes a few moments to appear. This has never been a problem before.

Inappropriate?I really keep being shocked by people claiming to STILL be on iBooks and Powerbooks. It's 2009, come on.
(Speaking of my own accord here, I upgraded from my iBook G4 in 2007 because flash video was super crappy and everything took 100% cpu pretty much)
I’m sad

Wow, talking about random access memory so caps-lockingly is so rude. I guess because I don't use *asterisks* I'm a jerk for using a different method for emphasis? And I don't really do Ubiquity support, I just wanted to mention that I was surprised people are still using Windows 98, er, I mean Power PC. -
Inappropriate? Can you see what the CPU usage is like as you load it?
-
Inappropriate?CPU never hits 100 when activating Ubiquity, maybe 60-70. Nevertheless, it misses the first letter I type more than half the time if I'm typing quickly (which is kinda the point of Ubiquity, right?).
-
Really? Do you have the del.icio.us extension installed? -
Nope. Just these:
Add to Search Bar
Better GReader
CustomizeGoogle
Foxmarks
Gmail Notifier
Greasemonkey
TwitterFox
Ubiquity -
Inappropriate?Have you tried Ubiquity0.2prexx builds?
-
No, should I? The recent update seemed to help a bit, BTW, but it does still happen. -
Some fixes aren't pushed into Ubiquity 0.1 until they've been tested in 0.2 (that's my understanding), so if you see your problem fixed in 0.2, then a recent patch may have fixed it. -
Inappropriate?GobberGo,
This is a known issue in Ubiquity - we're trying to figure out what is causing losing the first few letters when you type.
