STOP developing Firefox
Please STOP developing Firefox! It used to be a browser that worked far better than IE. Now, it's as buggy, slow and annoying as IE. Actually, it's worse. And with each "update" the problems mount. I would venture to guess that in the next couple of releases will render the browser totally useless.

It was predicted that the popularity of Firefox would result in more attention from malware authors, which has happened. But also what has happened is a bunch of other legitimate software has targeted Firefox as a dumpster for all their plugins and extensions.
Go ahead and look in Tools -> Add-ons, "plugins" section, and ask yourself how many of those things you were asked about before they were put there?
Same for "extensions". The reason they get away with this is because it doesn't "seem" to be a visible change in Firefox. After all, you don't see them installing a new Firefox theme without your permission, do you?
And of course inevitably, the build-up of so many of these does cause annoying slowdowns and is revealed as the source of many bugs.
Now, the only way Firefox can better deal with this, is to
KEEP DEVELOPING!

I don't see malware in Firefox, maybe sloppy programming due to popularity, which becomes the slowdown problem...
Do they check the extensions eficiency? -
Inappropriate?First: WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO STOP DEVELOPING Firefox?
It IS a GREAT browser, no matter what, and it is the only thing that has made me use Firefox and not IE.
KEEP DEVELOPING FIREFOX OR I WILL GET MAD!!!
I’m confident

Inappropriate?I disagree with what you think, because Firefox is still way better than IE. and it's probably slow because of your internet connection or because of your computer.
and also no matter what you want, they aren't going to stop making it because it does so well and many people prefer it over IE.
I’m disagreeing with you.

Inappropriate?JRX is 100% correct! Firefox is now one of the worst browsers out there. It has become slow, erratic and labored. As a computer technician and network security specialist, I've tested the latest versions of Firefox on dozens and dozens of computers; all with the same results. Sometimes you have to click on a link twice or three times before it responds; and even then, you may receive: "server is taking too long long to respond - operation has timed-out". This is unacceptable. And, for those of you who are wearing blinders about these critical issues, I can only wish you luck.

Inappropriate?Naaah Bad idea! FF is the best browser out there!
Of course, more features require more memory, but it's worth! Even though IE is winXp's default browser, i always use firefox as my default! Currently using 3.6Beta 3 and I am very happy with it!
