The character countdown starts at 160 on ubiquity when writing a tweet when the twitter limit is only 140. Not a major issue, but it would be nice if it were fixed please!!!

Inappropriate?Although Twitter says it has a 140 character limit, it will actually allow you to send up to 160 characters. Its just not guaranteed to look pretty on the Twitter website.

Inappropriate?After discussion with Blair on IRC about what happens when you post more than 140 characters, this will be resolved in a future release. As well, a feature few clients offer, counting < and > as 4 characters each instead of just 1 (which can cause the overflow, as the twitter backend but not frontend counts them as 4).

Inappropriate?Since there seems to be issues with other applications using the data from Twitter that's over 140 characters, this will be fixed in the next release.
